10th-Jan-2013 12:48 pm - 1000 years of Brihadeeswarar Temple
The Mumbai Mint opened bookings for this coin in July last year. Order was sent on 3.7.2012 and coin set received on 10.01.2013. Item received in 6 months. The weird thing about the way our mint works is that the coin says it was issued in 2010, but the proof set was issued only last year. This is the case for practically all the coins.

The Kolkota Mint opened bookings for this coin in June this year. Order was sent on 6.6.2012 and coin set received on 22.11.2012. Item received in 6 months.

6th-Nov-2012 05:02 pm - 2012 Farewell to the Penny
This is the fourth of Canada Mints $20 silver coin issued at face value. Like the $20 issues it does not come in a fancy box with leather lining. This one came in this folder and the coin was encapsulated in a plastic holder.

6th-Nov-2012 04:51 pm - 2011 Fine Maple Leaf
This is the first of Canada Mints $20 silver coin issued at face value. It did not come in a fancy box with leather lining and all. Instead it came in this card cover box like thing and the coin was encapsulated in a plastic holder.

The Mumbai Mint opened bookings for this coin in May this year. I sent an order on 19.5.2012 and received the set on 3.8.2012. This is too is a record like the previous coin that I had received, neither of the two India Govt Mints have ever delivered coins in a matter of two months. Hope they keep it up.

30th-Jul-2012 12:19 pm - 100 Years of Civil Aviation in India
The Mumbai Mint opened bookings for this coin in May this year. I sent an order on 19.5.2012 and received the set on 30.7.2012. This is a record, neither of the two India Govt Mints have ever delivered coins in a matter of two months. Hope they keep it up.

The Kolkota Mint opened bookings for this coin in August last year. I sent an order on 6.9.2011 and received the set on 23.4.2012. But I had forgotten that I had also ordered for the Rs 5 proof coin with the same order, that arrived on 12.5.2012. This is the first probably that the mint is supplying a coin in a box, except unlike the highly sophisticated boxes that US Mint or any other mint packs their coins in, this box were very crude and home made one at a time. Note the image of Rabindranath Tagore on the inside top cover, it is not even cut true, and also not pasted true. In the end we take what we get.

The Kolkota Mint opened bookings for this coin in August last year. I sent an order on 6.9.2011 and received the sets on 23.4.2012.

5th-Apr-2012 11:43 am - Platinum Jubilee of the RBI 2010
The Mumbai Mint opened bookings for this coin in January last year. I sent an order on 24.1.2011 and received the sets on 4.4.2011. For the first time ever the India Govt Mint has used a plastic sheet to insert the coin capsules, as compared to the home made folder thing they had before. The sleeve is of cardboard and strangely opens at the bottom instead of being sealed.
