Meeting in real life.
Last September a person got in contact via e-mail, after having googled for coins and coming across my LJ. He was in the US at that time visiting his only daughter who lives in Dallas. In his brief biodata he mentioned
"My wife H is from kudva Family of Kudva Compnd Mannagudda." for which I replied
"If you say H is from Kudva compound then it will mean she is my father's cousin or niece one way or the other" and his reply was
"my wife H is a cousin to yr dad-"

And so when he said he would be in India soon and probably Mangalore (he lives in Bombay) I had invited him over to our house. He called me on Saturday and said he'd meet me on Sunday. And he did drop in yesterday at around 11. He said he was 71 years now, and spoke about various people in and around us.

When introduced to Suchitra he said she should be related to Narsimh Bhat. And Suchitra blinked. Later I asked what the relationship was. He said N Bhat's wife's brother was my mom-in-law's cousin, or maybe he said Bhat's wife's brother was my mom-in-law's cousin. Very close relationship he said. But it didn't ring any bells.

I showed him around the house, and later dropped him home.
