Travelling minstrels

These three travelling minstrels came home one Sunday. They were singing rather well and so this video. The singer is Basavraj on the harmonium, Vishwanath on the tabla, and Nagaraj with the book [money collection book].

They ARE good - one of my favorite Bhimsen Joshi bhajans. At first I thought the singer was blind, but I see he was just concentrating,
Do they get royalties on the video ?:-)
Your garden looks beautiful, Prem.
I saw little faces peeking from the window.

You saw the little faces;-) Of course they get royaties;-) I paid them an advance of Rs 250/-, I had actually given them Rs 100/- [an amount I never give to travelling folks] and they say "please give something more, last year when we came we took whatever you gave us" [possibly Rs 10 but then I had not taken any video]

More than fair - quite generous. Good for you. I hate when people stand around and listen, then wander off without even giving them pocket change.

Oh in their book on the page I had to write my contribution against my name I noted there were two other Konkanis who had given them Rs.500/-
