Terminator Salvation
We saw Terminator Salvation yesterday evening. This one departs from the previous three in two aspects, one of course is that Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't there, and also the movie doesn't start with a flash of lightning, crackle of electricity, and a nude person/machine appearing out of nowhere [future actually]. Why? Because we are finally in the future dudes!

My sis-in-law asked "How was Christian Bale as the Terminator!" and was quite surprised to know that he his John Connors and not the Terminator. The movie is very nice, and since it is set in the dark bad future, you don't get to see bright colours at all. Bale has acted just as he acts in previous movies, eg The Dark Knight, Equilibrium. So compared to Schwarzenegger he was not bad at all;-)

Besides Suchitra there was just one other lady in the theatre. And surprising Suchitra liked it!? She said not just to me, she said that to her sister too?!?

Aha, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is in it, just only for about five minutes :)

Albeit a very unconvincing CGI version;-) Which they quickly burn off [the skin] to avoid any legal issues with Arnie I guess.

Oh Christina Bale was not the Terminator? Then who was? I have not watched the movie though!

Well.. in the series,the Terminators are the humanoid robots that have been sent by John Connor back in time, to protect himself as a teenager/young adult (from other Terminators sent by SkyNet). Now, in the latest installment, Christian Bale plays John Connor, the leader of the human resistance against the robots.There is no one single terminator here.. Just more robots than the whole Transformers franchise :P

Hmm...now I remember why I had not see this movie...it was more of robots than humans. Although I wanted to watch Transformers. :D

Actually the first terminator T800 was sent by Skynet to kill Connor's mom before she has even concieved him. And then she gets John after having sex with the person [not a terminator] whom Connor's sent across to protect her.

Second terminator T1000 once again sent by Skynet to kill Connors, but this time T800 is somehow in the rebel camp.
