Face transplant patient
I’m not a monster, I was shot in the face’

Finally yesterday they showed the face transplant victim on TV. At first I was wondering it it was a stage show doll or something, like the NDTV political puppets we get to see. Then to my horror I realise that is the person whose identity was kept a secret. Of course she is not a monster, the monster is her husband who shot her in her face. Man can be really cruel.

that video makes my stomach churn .... i'm too scared to click on the link cos i know how i'd feel - the first time i saw it i stopped half way and then paced around abut and watched it all the way - needless to say i had nightmares

I must be heartless. I have watched it as many times as I have linked it :( (Or maybe I'm being objective!)

The latest news to come from the UAE is about these Bangladeshi kids who were (I suspect, are too) used as camel jockeys. The cries of the children aggravate the camel and it runs faster.

the kids used as camel jockeys is an old thing- i remember seeing a documentary about it on tv in India years ago - i think its resurfacing cos they have some article somewhere about how the camel owners are more receptive now than before to robot kid jockeys .....
